This course is designed to update both practicing primary care providers and specialists in the latest advances in gastroenterology and will provide an overview on the clinical management of patients in a wide variety of areas including esophageal diseases, functional bowel disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal malignancy, viral hepatitis, work-up of abnormal liver function tests, and colon cancer screening.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity participants should be able to:
• Discuss the advances in Gastrointestinal & Hepatology disorders
• Identify strategies to evaluate patients with abnormal LFT’s NAFLD/Nash
• Understand advanced treatment of viral Hepatitis and screenings Hepatitis C
• Formulate strategies in management and screening, recommendations of GI Diseases
• Recognize the importance of early referral with multidisciplinary/integrated approach to patient mix
