Alcohol Use Disorder is a leading cause of morbidity among IHP members, leading to overuse of the Emergency Department, hospitalization and overall poorer health. Dr. McCance Katz will discuss identification and management of Alcohol Use Disorder in the outpatient setting.

Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals

  • Analyze the current epidemiology of alcohol use disorder
  • State current evidence based practices in the treatment of alcohol use disorder including psychotherapies and pharmacotherapies
