04/07/22: LIVE IN PERSON - Crafting an Elevator Talk
An important skill for anyone presenting their research or medical education innovation at a conference is the ability to summarize and engage. But how do you describe your work succinctly, and in such a way that your listener not only understands it, but is convinced of its importance? In this workshop participants will practice describing their work, and will utilize a framework to help craft an impactful two-minute “elevator talk.” The framework used has application for future oral and poster presentations, as well as networking and career development opportunities.
Target Audience
All faculty and residents are welcome to participate in this live activity.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Identify and address problems with verbal descriptions of their scholarly work
- Develop “talking points” relevant to their scholarly work
- Craft clear, succinct summaries of their scholarly work for poster or oral presentations
This activity will be taking place live, in person at the Warren Alpert Medical School in Room #280.
