12.08.21 | Let's Replace the STEMI/NonSTEMI paradigm with the Occlusion MI (OMI)/Non-OMI Paradigm
Please join the Department of Emergency Medicine as we welcome Dr. Stephen Smith for a Grand Rounds presentation during which he will describe a new classification paradigm for acute myocardial infarction, and describe an important subgroup of NSTEMI patients with evidence of occlusion MI (OMI) that may benefit from early emergent intervention.

- Identify why the STEMI/NonSTEMI paradigm does not address the needs of Myocardial Infarction patients.
- Review the multifaceted approach to early diagnosis of Acute Coronary syndrome that threatens a large myocardial territory.
