COR 03.08.22: Adolescent Risk Behaviors

This presentation will provide an overview of the neurodevelopment of adolescents and how it relates to potential high-risk behavior during the teen years. Intervention and prevention approaches as well as related treatment outcomes will be discussed. 

Target Audience

Physicians, Psychologists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses specializing in Primary Care and Pediatrics. 

Learning Objectives

After participating in this session, the learner should be better able to: 

  • Highlight the nature of substance misuse during the teen years and associated risk behaviors. 
  • Identify existing prevention and intervention approaches for adolescent health risk.
  • Outline translational approaches in order to inform (or apply or implement) improvements in adolescent prevention and intervention approaches
