Session Overview
This session will focus on theory and empirical findings in the are of sleep in the family context including Knowledge on sleep development and parenting in the infancy period.
Learning Objectives
After participating in this activity, attendees should be better able to:
- Outline the transactional model of infant sleep and how parent and infant sleep are interrelated
- Identify factors contributing to individual variability in family sleep disturbance
- Describe links between caregiver sleep disturbance and changes in caregiver-infant relationship quality
