Target Audience

This session is designed for Rhode Island physicians (primary care and specialists), psychologists, social workers, residents, fellows, medical students, and all other allied health professionals. 

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be better able to:

  • Identify common mental health issues affecting children and families in humanitarian settings
  • Describe multi-disciplinary responses to meeting the mental health needs of these youth
  • Evaluate strategies and interventions for assessing and working with youth and families in humanitarian settings
