Program Description
The Northeast Arthroplasty Conference is an educational, interactive conference that discusses new and exciting arthroplasty topics with leaders in the field, such as outpatient total joints, revision anterior total hip arthroplasty, and the future of robotics in total joint arthroplasty.
Target Audience
This conference is designed for arthroplasty surgeons, as well as orthopedic physicians, advanced practice providers, fellows, residents, medical students, and trainees.
Learning Objectives
After participating in this conference, the learner should be better able to:
- Outline the occupational hazards of orthopedic surgery
Describe the indications for outpatient ASC total joint arthroplasty
Define the risk of opioids after orthopedic surgery and develop ways to minimize narcotics usage
Understand pathways to enhance rapid recovery in total joint arthroplasty and the roles of the healthcare team
