ForwardRhode Island Medical Society 11th Hour CME Webcast Event

The Rhode Island Medical Society Bylaws list four objectives that guide us as we look for ways to serve the physician community in our State. The first is to promote the art & science of medicine & the improvement of public health. The second is to advocate for the provision of quality medical care for all patients. The third is to promote the exchange of information & dialogue among physicians. The fourth is to enlighten & direct public opinion in regard to the challenges facing medicine.
This educational event combines all of these objectives and provides an opportunity for physicians to stay informed and obtain CME credit in four special topic areas (ethics, risk management, chronic pain management, end of life/palliative care) that are required for RI physician relicensure.
Target Audience
Physicians, physician assistants, residents, and fellows.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity participants should be able to:
- Discuss risk reduction in today's sexual misconduct climate
- Describe hospice and palliative care available to RI patients
- Describe elements of creating a workable ethical decision-making framework to avoid dilemmas
- Identify alternatives to opioid prescribing in practice available in Rhode Island

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations/substitutions must be made in writing to the Brown CME Office at least 2 weeks prior to the conference, no later than April 3, 2020. A $25.00 administrative fee will be charged for all refunds (no refunds for “no shows”). There will be no additional charge for substitutions. This conference is subject to change or cancellation.
