Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
1. Describe how adversities involving threat differ from those involving deprivation
2. Differentiate between the cognitive, affective, and neural consequences of exposure to threat versus deprivation-related forms of childhood adversity
3. Identify cognitive, affective, and neural mechanisms through which adversities involving threat exposure increase risk for later psychopathology.
