Target Audience

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the symposium, participants should be better able to: 

  1. Outline key aspects of acute stroke evaluation in the ED
  2. Describe a pathway for assessment of acute dizziness
  3. Navigate imaging tools for acute stroke evaluation
  4. Review key updates from the 2026 Guidelines on the early management of patients with acute ischemic stroke
  5. Evaluate and manage acute stroke in the Neurocritical Care Unit

  8. Become familiar with managing stroke patients with cancer
  9. Review updates in management of dyslipidemia based on the 2026 AHA/ACC Guidelines
  10. Delineate evaluation and management of sleep disorders after stroke
  11. Compare benefits and risks of intravenous thrombolytic use for patients with acute stroke on direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) therapy
  12. Adopt strategies to standardize ICH care through an acute response team
  13. Explore surgical treatment options in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH)
  14. Navigate anti-thrombotic and interventional therapies post ICH
  15. Survey neuropsychiatric outcomes after ICH

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing to the Brown CME Office at least two weeks prior to the conference, no later than 5 PM ET on October 15, 2026. A $35.00 administrative fee will be charged for all refunds (no refunds for “no shows”). There will be no additional charge for substitutions. This conference is subject to change or cancellation. Brown CME reserves the right to change the delivery format, delay, or cancel a course due to any unforeseen circumstances. In the event that the program is canceled, your registration fee will be refunded.
