Join Alpert Medical School and the School of Public Health as they welcome John Balmes, MD, Director, Northern California Center for Occupational and Environmental Health explore the impact that climate change has on health disparities. Dr. Balmes is a Professor of Environmental Health Sciences whose research is focused on the respiratory, cardiovascular and metabolic health effects of various air pollutants and occupational agents.

  2. Recognize that disparities in exposures, social vulnerability, and biological susceptibility interact to cause health disparities 
  3. Describe how climate change can increase health disparities
