04/26/22: LIVE IN PERSON - Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) Antiracism Training
This workshop focuses on steps to combat racism in medicine, both in clinical practice and in the academic medicine work environment. The session will include the individual's role in navigating racism, a discussion of the levels of racism, and the impact of racism on underrepresented minorities in medicine. Participants will generate practical steps to combat bias and promote JEDI principles.
Target Audience
All faculty and residents are welcome to participate in this live activity.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Identify examples of levels of racism including systemic racism and personally mediated racism that might affect their trainees or colleagues (or themselves).
- Articulate practical steps to combat bias and promote JEDI.
This activity will be taking place live, in person at the Warren Alpert Medical School in Room #280.
