This activity is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, psychologists, social workers, residents, fellows, medical students, and other allied members of the team providing care to patients in the primary care, family medicine, emergency medicine, general medicine, neurology, OB/GYN, oncology, pediatric or psychiatric setting.
After participating in this activity, the learner should be better able to implement a structure for how to show empathy and compassion to those who suffer greatly, particularly those who are having suicidal ideation.
