Session 4: Equipping the Workforce and Assuring Quality Improvement 


This 4th and final session of the series will provide an overview of assuring staff have the training they need for the role they play in suicide prevention, conducting periodic workforce surveys to assess ongoing training needs, and how to track progress using standard quality improvement protocols. 

This webinar series is jointly provided by the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Washington County Zero Suicide Program. 
In collaboration with the Zero Suicide Institute.

Target Audience

This series is designed for physicians, psychologists, social workers, and nurses.

Learning Objectives

After participating in this session, the learner should be better able to: 

  1. Describe the Zero Suicide approach to assessing employees for the beliefs, training, and skills needed to care for individuals at risk of suicide, and all employees, clinical and non-clinical receiving suicide prevention training appropriate to their role.
  2. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the importance in a Zero Suicide approach of a data-driven quality improvement approach involving fidelity to the Zero Suicide model.

Becky Stoll is responsible for the overall operation of Centerstone’s Crisis and Disaster Management services.  A Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years experience, Ms. Stoll is a recognized leader in the areas of crisis services, disaster mental health, and suicide prevention. She is a member of the National Action Alliance’s “Zero Suicides in Healthcare” Advisory Group as well as serving as a faculty and mentor. Ms. Stoll provides training, consultation, and response nationally and internationally to aviation, banking, educational institutions, emergency response organizations, and professional sports.  She is a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress and a Diplomat of the American Association of Experts in Traumatic Stress. She is also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional.
