Tourette Syndrome On-demand Provider Webinar Series

Tourette Syndrome and related tic disorders affect 1:100 school-aged children in the United States, yet 50% are going undiagnosed.  Physicians would benefit from additional information to identify the symptoms of Tourette Syndrome and determine when to treat and how best to treat the condition and its commonly co-occurring conditions.  Close to 90% of those with TS have a psychiatric co-morbid condition that can complicate treatment.  This webinar series will discuss the diagnosis and management of TS, evidence-based treatment approaches, and strategies to manage co-occurring conditions. A recent patient survey from the Tourette Association of America demonstrated that roughly 30% of individuals have tried 5 or more medications to manage their TS, yet approximately 45% still felt that their symptoms were not adequately controlled, highlighted the need for optimizing care and physician education.
