01.31.24 EM GR | Sex and Gender Differences Along the Continuum of Cardiac Arrest Care: Current Status and Countermeasures to Reduce Inequity
Emergency care providers must be aware of current research about the management of cardiac arrest among different patient populations. Dr. Perman is a recognized leader in this area who has published extensively on sex and gender differences in cardiac arrest care.
Target Audience
Emergency medicine physicians
Learning Objectives
After this session, the participants should be better able to:
- Review the phenotype of female cardiac arrest
- Understand the complexity and heterogeneity in cardiac arrest outcomes
- Explore disparity in cardiac arrest interventions for women to identify potential targets for intervention
- Review of methodologies to reduce disparity
