February 23, 2022 Session
Guest Speaker
Cheston B. Cunha, MD, FACP, FIDSA
In addition to COVID-19 updates, this session will consist of an update from Dr. Cunha. As COVID-19 continues to spread, change, and impact lives across not only Rhode Island, but the world, it’s important that those in the medical professions stay up to date on treatments available to patients, especially given the rapid pace at which research findings, clinical data, and treatment recommendations are made available to providers. Dr. Cunha will go over key guidelines and recommendations from the National Institutes of Health and Infectious Diseases Society of America, focusing on the types of recommended therapeutics for patients with COVID-19 in a hospital setting. Dr. Cunha will also discuss related topics such as treatment availability and referral mechanisms.
