Target Audience

This session is designed for Rhode Island physicians (primary care and specialists), psychologists, social workers, residents, fellows, medical students, and all other allied health professionals. 

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be better able to:

  • 1. Participants will be able to articulate key differences in the innate and adaptive immune responses. 

    2. Clinicians will be able to recognize common pitfalls in clinical decision making as it relates to the diagnosis of Autoimmune Encephalitis (AE). 

    3. Providers will be introduced to next generation diagnostic testing methods that may influence the standard of care in years to come
