This session will include a discussion on the challenges of diagnosing pediatric delirium, a review of long-term complications of delirium, and highlight the need for partnership between pediatrics and child psychiatry in pediatric delirium.

Target Audience

This session is designed for Rhode Island physicians (primary care and specialists), psychologists, social workers, residents, fellows, medical students, and all other allied health professionals. 

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be better able to:

  • Review what makes delirium so challenging to diagnose in children.
  • Begin to consider longer-term complications of delirium.
  • Find opportunities for partnership between Pediatrics and Child Psychiatry.
