Target Audience
This session is designed for Rhode Island physicians (primary care and specialists), psychologists, social workers, residents, fellows, medical students, and all other allied health professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be better able to:
- Describe an approach to treating a perinatal patient with a psychiatric disorder
- Describe the risks to the fetus of antidepressant, mood stabilizer and atypical antipsychotic use in pregnancy
- Identify items to consider when weighing treatment options in the management of a perinatal patient with bipolar disorder
