Target Audience

This session is designed for Rhode Island physicians (primary care and specialists), psychologists, social workers, residents, fellows, medical students, and all other allied health professionals. 

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be better able to:

  • Review key research on the links between parenting quality and youth mental health

  • Describe the evidence for a less “one size fits all” temperament-informed approach to parenting

  • Provide specific recommendations for how to have productive discussions on parenting with families
