In addition to COVID-19 updates, this session will consist of an update on the importance of preventative dental care. We know that oral health impacts systemic health, yet there are challenges with access to care. The goal is to increase referrals for dental care, yet give physicians and their teams the tools to make effective referrals. Additionally, in some cultures, preventative dental care is not viewed as necessary; providers may need to rely on CHWs to communicate the need for preventative dental care among members of such communities.
