Session Overview

This presentation will review the current science on sleep problems in adolescents with ADHD, summarize recent research in this area, and describe important directions for future research and clinical care.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe rates of sleep problems in adolescents with ADHD
  • Describe possible causal role of shortened sleep duration for ADHD symptoms and associated daytime problems in adolescents with ADHD
  • Describe possible role of targeting sleep for improving functional outcomes in adolescents with ADHD
