Wednesday, May 7, 2025
5:00-7:00pm

Overview
This interdisciplinary workshop features multiple simulation exercises with a Standardized Patient actor, thus giving participants an opportunity to practice using intentionally inclusive language in a safe, nonjudgmental space. The goals are to introduce the basics of gender diversity and terminology; learn how bias, stigma, and the current legal landscape affects gender diverse patients; and to understand our role in minimizing those stress effects in clinical settings. The session will include time time for participants to brainstorm and/or share challenging scenarios that we can navigate together.
Target Audience
This session is open to all faculty, staff and trainees.
