Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this lecture, participants should be able to:
- Identify the drivers for urbanization that promote disease emergence and impart inequitable outcomes on health and well-being of urban populations
- Describe examples of how social gradients and poor environment interact to promote disease emergence in vulnerable urban communities
- Evaluate approaches to identifying effective and generalizable health interventions across a diverse and heterogeneous urban landscape
The goal of the lecture series is to describe problems of health disparities and the data supporting them and to open a conversation regarding solutions.
