On-Demand: Skin Cancer Concepts for the Primary Care Physician

All physicians should be able to identify and know how to treat cutaneous malignancies. Melanoma incidence in particular is increasing in this country and clinicians should be aware of the diagnosis process, pathology, identification on exam, and management of tumors. The goal of the program is to help strengthen knowledge about fundamentals of cutaneous oncology for primary Dermatologists, dermatological surgeons, and oncologists, and primary care doctors to be able to work together as a team to effectively treat patients with skin cancers.
This virtual educational activity will educate primary care clinicians and other non‐dermatology providers on the fundamentals of cutaneous oncology. The program will commence with a broad discussion on the common types of skin cancer and progress into a more in‐depth discussion on advanced concepts that should be understood by the primary care clinician to effectively co-manage patients that are undergoing advanced therapy. All information will be presented in the case‐based format.
Method of Participation and How to Receive CME Credit
- Review the activity objectives, faculty information, and CME information prior to participating in the activity.
- View the three CME presentations
- Complete the CME activity post-test and evaluation at the conclusion of the activity in order to receive a credit certificates
