This presentation will provide an introduction on compassion, a new way to feel patients’ suffering without being emotionally exhausted by it. This presentation will then explain the different patterns of activations in the body and mind of empathy and compassion. With these in mind, the presentation will also describe how to practice compassion.

- Describe how to stay with patients’ suffering without being consumed by it
