Assessment and Feedback on performance and growth as a clinician educator is necessary for career growth, accreditation, promotion and personal satisfaction. The ACGME has released clinician educator milestones to provide a practical, actionable framework for assessment and improvement in the role of clinician educator. This workshop will provide participants with the ability to use these milestones for reflection and goal setting, as well as create a body of assessment materials.
Target Audience
This session is open to all faculty, staff and trainees.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
1. Define the role of a Clinician Educator
2. Describe the ACGME Clinician Educator Milestone project and its potential role in meeting faculty development requirements
3. Self assess their clinician educator skills in select sub-competencies
4. Commit to practical, feasible strategies to improve as clinician educators with shared accountability
