Overview 

This recorded webinar will bring together familiar hosts, Dr. Chan and Dr. Bornschein, to discuss topics of ongoing importance such as COVID-19 (wastewater surveillance, sentinel sites, and the newest CDC guidelines), and hepatitis C elimination efforts throughout the state. Additionally, other experts from across Rhode Island will discuss other ongoing and emerging public health issues such as sexually transmitted infections, antimicrobial stewardship, and the clinical management of opioid use disorders. This four-hour session will provide physicians, nurses, psychiatrists, and social workers with well-rounded, thorough lecture and Q & A sessions regarding the most important health and public health topics facing Rhode Island today.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for Rhode Island based physicians, nurses, psychologists, and social workers.

Learning Objectives

After participating in this activity, learners should be better able to:

  • Describe newest CDC guidelines related to COVID-19
  • Implement Hepatitis C elimination efforts in their practice
  • Describe the most recent sexually transmitted infection statistics in Rhode Island and how this impacts their patients
  • Become aware of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and how it can be leveraged in their practice
  • Gain new skills in the clinical management of opioid use disorders

 

METHOD OF PARTICIPATION AND HOW TO RECEIVE CME CREDIT
