OWIMS Inaugural Virtual Professional Development Conference
The Office of Women in Medicine and Science (OWIMS) is pleased to announce it's inaugural "Virtual" Professional Development Conference:
Women's Leadership in 2020: Overcoming Obstacles, Preparing for Opportunities, and Being Yourself Along the Way
This annual conference is designed to offer attendees a program where they can acquire specific skills and strategies for their academic advancement. Promoting diversity, mentoring, collaboration, and addressing the goal of having a successful and satisfying work-life experience are also essential aspects of the conference.
*By registering for the conference, you will have the ability to participate in the entire program or certain sections. Individual section zoom links will be sent to you by email.
Learning Objectives
- Describe obstacles associated with progress and advancement in academia across the life course
- Explore how practicing authenticity promotes effective leadership
- Apply best practices and innovative methods and collaborations to promote gender equity in medicine
- Discuss the potential impact of Covid-19 on gender disparity issues in medicine
