Faculty Development Workshop - Contemporary Models of Supervision for Advanced Professionals in Behavioral Health

This activity will be presented in person at Butler Hospital, Ray Hall, 3:30-5:30 pm. 
Pre-registration is required.

This educational workshop will address current gaps in professional supervision including a focus on 1) contemporary pedagogical strategies for young adult learners, 2) use of technology in in person and remote supervision,and
3) best practices in integrating principles of inclusion, diversity, equity and belonging.  

Target Audience

This activity is designed for Rhode Island physicians (primary care and specialists), psychologists, and social workers. 

Learning Objectives

After participating in this activity, the learner should be better able to:

  • Describe individual learning styles common in young adult learners. 
  • Identify developmental progression of supervising over time
  • Describe best practices and challenges in remote supervision 
  • Describe best practices in supervising across differences
