This Annual Conference is being held live, in-person.
The Keynote lectures will be live-streamed. 

This live annual conference is designed to offer attendees a program where they can acquire specific skills and strategies for their academic and professional development. Promoting diversity, mentoring, collaboration, and addressing the goal of having a successful and satisfying work-life experience are also essential aspects of the conference.

Target Audience

A professional development conference for faculty, trainees and house staff.

Learning Objectives

After participating in this conference, the learner should be better able to: 

  • Discuss Dean Jain’s vision for women’s representation and gender equity in medicine and science at Brown.
  • Formulate a strategy for communicating scientific and/or clinical expertise in the media
  • Recognize the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on professional activities of physicians and scientists, particularly in academia
  • Recognize how the pandemic has altered time management approaches.
  • Identify how personal communication style, boundary setting, and assertiveness behaviors affect the success of time goals.
