At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be better able to:
- Describe factors related to elevated prevalence of borderline personality disorder, and related psychopathology, among sexual and gender minority populations.
- Identify how the traditional conceptualizations of personality and other psychopathology exclude understanding of social and structural processes to sexual and gender minority individuals' detriment.
- Discuss how understanding of sociocultural context can be harnessed to create rigorous research designs.
