This interactive session introduces key principles of coaching and two practical frameworks—the GROW and SMART models. Participants will work in pairs to apply these tools, creating a coaching plan and goal they can use right away to support professional and personal development.

Target Audience

This session is open to all faculty, staff and trainees. 

Learning Objectives

​​​​​​After participating in this event, learners should be better able to: 
  • Differentiate coaching from other counseling roles such as mentoring and psychotherapy
  • Apply the GROW model to create a coaching plan
  • Identify the 5 elements (“context”) of coaching
