This event will take place live, in person at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
Overview
Mental health conditions are common among healthcare workers, and when left untreated, can lead to adverse patient outcomes, burnout, and even suicide among those suffering from these disorders. In this session, panelists will present data regarding the growing prevalence of alcohol use disorders among healthcare workers, with a focus on women working in clinical settings. Barriers to seeking diagnosis and treatment will be discussed, and participants will be introduced to resources for supporting women who need treatment, as well as strategies to prevent the development of alcohol use disorders among healthcare workers and trainees.
