This workshop is designed for faculty on the Clinical and Clinician Educator tracks in the clinical departments at Brown University. Participants will be able to discuss the faculty appointment and promotion process at the University
along with the track switching process. Panelists and workshop leaders will include senior faculty with considerable experience with the promotions process.
Target Audience
All clinical department faculty interested in increasing their knowledge of promotion criteria and promotion practice including revisions and how they will affect promotions in the clinical departments.
Learning Objectives
After participation in this activity, the learner will be better able to:
- Identify criteria associated with specific faculty tracks
- Apply knowledge of criteria to professional goals and responsibilities
- Navigate the promotion process at Brown University
