The Office of Faculty Professional Development, in collaboration with the Office of Belonging, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, the Office of Women in Medicine and Science and the BioMed Wellness Program at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, invites you to attend the Symposium for Medical Education Innovation, Equity, & Well-being. This event will highlight and celebrate ongoing work and emerging research in medical education. 

The last 20 years have seen unprecedented paradigm shifts in medical education, necessitating new research and insights into impactful and equitable practices that lead to the best care of patients and the sustainment of an effective, inspired and dedicated medical work force. Providing a forum to share innovations and build community enhances the impact of scholarship for members of the educational community and enhances their practice. For this conference, highlighted presentations on the primary importance of creating safe learning spaces, ensuring equity and cultural sensitivity in educational practice, enhancing strategies to preserve provider wellness and innovate new best practices are highlighted.
